We’re looking for a Data Architect to join us at this exciting stage, where you’ll help shape what Cloudamite’s data future looks like – from technologies and tools to ways of working and even our upcoming Helsinki office setup.
You’ll be joining a small, agile team with a flat structure built on radical transparency, trust, and shared ownership. Founded by three software engineers who still work hands-on in projects, we know what good work looks like – and how to create an environment where people can do their best.
We’re not perfect, and not all processes are in place. But that’s part of the opportunity: you’ll get to build things that matter and shape the environment you work in.
What you’ll do
As a Data Architect at Cloudamite, your work is built around varying customer projects, each with different challenges, industries and problem spaces.
Your focus is on the bigger picture: designing Azure-based data and IoT/IIoT architectures that are secure, scalable and meaningful for the business – and guiding teams in turning those designs into reality.
Your work will include for example:
- Designing end-to-end data architectures on Azure that combine business, production and sensor data into a coherent, secure and scalable data platform
- Defining architectural principles, integration patterns and technology choices (e.g. Fabric, Synapse, Databricks, Data Factory, Data Lake)
- Guiding and supporting development teams in implementing the architecture in practice
- Participating in the design of data governance, security models and integrations
- Acting as a bridge between business and technology, helping stakeholders understand what should be built, why, and how
- Designing solutions for IoT/IIoT environments, including real-time data, edge processing and device integrations (e.g. IoT Hub, IoT Edge, Event Hub, Digital Twins)
- Collaborating with engineers, analysts and other architects to enable data-driven decision-making across the organisation
Consulting at Cloudamite means solving real problems in real customer environments.
Not every assignment is fully defined from the start — part of the work is helping customers understand what should be built, why, and how.
You won’t be left alone doing it: a senior-heavy team supports you, while you still get the autonomy and influence that consulting naturally brings.
What we expect
We’re looking for someone with genuine curiosity, a problem-solving mindset, and willingness to grow with us. In consulting, no two projects are the same, and the focus of your work naturally shifts from one assignment to another.
Because of that, it helps if you have:
- Strong experience with Azure Data Platform services (Fabric, Synapse, Databricks, Data Factory, Data Lake) or similar cloud platforms
- Understanding of security, data architecture patterns and operating models (e.g. Data Mesh, Lakehouse)
- Experience or familiarity with IoT/IIoT solutions (IoT Hub, IoT Edge, Event Hub, Digital Twins) is a clear plus
- Ability to see and structure end-to-end architectures and communicate them clearly to both technical and business stakeholders
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g. Git, Azure DevOps)
- Fluent communication in Finnish and English
Previous consulting experience is not required — we’ll help you learn the ropes.
