We’re looking for a Data Engineer to join us at this exciting stage, where you’ll help shape what Cloudamite’s data future looks like – from technologies and tools to ways of working and even our upcoming Helsinki office setup.
You’ll be joining a small, agile team with a flat structure built on radical transparency, trust, and shared ownership. Founded by three software engineers who still work hands-on in projects, we know what good work looks like – and how to create an environment where people can do their best.
We’re not perfect, and not all processes are in place. But that’s part of the opportunity: you’ll get to build things that matter and shape the environment you work in.
What you’ll do
As a Data Engineer at Cloudamite, the work is built around varying customer projects, each with different challenges, industries and problem spaces.
The role involves both hands-on development and the ability to collaborate closely with customers to understand what actually needs to be built.
Your work will include:
- Designing and implementing data ingestion, transformation and storage pipelines (ETL/ELT)
- Developing and maintaining data lake and data warehouse solutions
- Automating and optimizing data workflows for production use
- Working alongside architects, analysts and developers to enable data-driven decision-making
- Bringing your expertise into customer discussions and shaping solutions based on real needs — even when those needs are still forming
- Adapting to different customer environments, industries and problem spaces as projects evolve

Not every assignment is fully defined from the start — part of the work is helping customers understand what should be built, why, and how.
You won’t be left alone doing it: a senior-heavy team supports you, while you still get the autonomy and influence that consulting naturally brings.
What we expect
We’re looking for someone with genuine curiosity, problem-solving mindset, and willingness to grow with us. In consulting, no two projects are the same, and the focus of your work naturally shifts from one assignment to another.
Because of that, it helps if you have:
- Experience with Azure-based data tools (Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, Fabric or similar)
- Solid SQL and Python skills
- Understanding of data modelling, integrations and architecture
- Experience with DevOps tools (Git, Azure DevOps)
- Visualizing data with PowerBI/Power Apps, Tableau or similar
- Fluent communication in Finnish and English
Previous consulting experience is not required — we’ll help you learn the ropes.
